Principal
Thank you for visiting the Edward Bain School of Language and Art web site. As one of the largest elementary schools in the state of Wisconsin, I am proud to represent our school as its principal. While this is only my second year as principal in this school, with the support of the E.B.S.O.L.A. staff, families, and children, we are in the process of completing our strategic planning. I firmly believe that we are engaged in a number of activities that will result in increased student achievement, improved social and behavior skills, and an overall boost in the literacy levels of all of our children.
In only our fourth year of existence, the Edward Bain School of Language and Art (E.B.S.O.L.A.) contains a multitude of different programs. Each of these programs is very unique to our district and within the State of Wisconsin. Prior to August of 2004, one of the original elementary schools of Kenosha, Bain Elementary School, joined forces with the Kenosha School of Language. With Bain Elementary School’s focus on creating a school of creative arts, the new school took on the name Edward Bain School of Language and Art. In addition to these two major programs, E.B.S.O.L.A. also contains a federally funded program called Even Start, which support the acquisition of English as a second language for many of our parents who do not speak English while also providing academic support for their children in a rich academic environment. E.B.S.O.L.A. is also home to a number of Head Start and Early Childhood classrooms. Combined, E.B.S.O.L.A. is home to nearly 850 children at any given moment.
If you are interested in learning more about our school, please explore our web site further and feel free to contact me if you have any questions. With such a committed staff and a defined mission, I firmly believe that our children will be extremely well-prepared for the future, both near and far.
Best wishes,
