EBSOLA's Strategic Plan
MISSION
The mission of Edward Bain School of Language and Art, a progressive, uniquely diverse learning community, is to have all children build a strong academic foundation, become culturally competent and engage their innate desire to learn through collaboration among students, staff, families and community in an environment that integrates creative arts and world languages.
OBJECTIVES
1. All EBSOLA students will participate in the creative arts or dual language programs.
2. All EBSOLA students will consistently demonstrate respectful and responsible behavior within a unified multicultural climate.
3. No later than 2010, all EBSOLA students will meet or exceed proficiency levels in state and district required assessments in reading, math, science and social studies.
TACTICS
1. We will create a climate that fosters trust, communication and involvement to improve the cohesiveness among the staff, students, families and community.
2. We will develop and implement plans, which create a climate that models, reinforces and recognizes responsible, respectful, and ethical behavior by everyone.
3. We will ensure that staff will use district mandated curricula and best practices to meet or exceed proficiency levels on state and district requirements resulting in high academic achievement.
4. We will utilize the creative arts and dual language models to engage all learners resulting in higher student achievement.
